Company Canonical launched the independent system of certification for Ubuntu 10.04. Currently only available entry-level certification, showing that the administrator can set up an office server based on Ubuntu. The first exam is scheduled for October, testing will be conducted in English in the online-mode. The exact cost of obtaining the certificate is not yet defined, according to preliminary data training and exam will cost 300-350 dollars.

Previously, certification of Ubuntu Certified Professional (UCP) was carried out in cooperation with international organizations Linux Professional Institute (LPI). But now the company Canonical decided to do their own training and certification for Ubuntu.
